- Interventions which tackle the particular factors which put a

NATIONAL OBJECTIVES
National Standards are set for Youth
Offending Services by the Home Secretary who is advised by the Youth
Justice Board.
They detail the minimum required standards that staff in the YOS
are expected to achieve. They can be split in the following broad
headings
- Supervision quality & frequency
- Speeding up court processes
- Information sharing
- Work with victims
- Protecting the public
- Protecting the rights of young people
- Planning & provision of services for young people
- Anti discriminatory practice
- Measuring the effectiveness of services and reporting to
the Youth Justice Board
